obus sound bath

Bath Therapy

During a Sound Bath, you are immersed in the amazing sounds and vibrations of Tibetan and Crystal singing bowls, energy chimes, tuning forks, voice and silence.

A sound bath will take you on a journey into deep relaxation and help to induce a wonderful feeling of peace and calm
It is healing to the body mind and spirit.  Some people use sound as a meditation.

How does it work?
Every cell in your body vibrates at a particular frequency
As the sound travels through your body, which is made up of over 70% water, the healing frequencies and vibrations are experienced by every cell, tissue and organ, helping to release tension and stress and return the body to balance.

What happens during the sound bath
You will lie on the floor on a yoga mat with cushions and blankets for comfort.
You can also use an eye cushion if you wish
When the sound begins you will listen as it fills the room.
Time is suspended as you enter a world of vibration, sensation and experience.
The therapist works with the bowls both on and off the body.
The bowls can be placed along the chakras and they are used to balance each chakra point.
The bowls are also moved up and down the body.

What happens afterwards
Most people have a feeling of deep relaxation, but some people find it simulating and energising.

The days following the sound bath can see old emotions released, feeling of stress and tension reduced and a continued feeling of calm.
