Do I need to take my clothes off?
The simple answer is no. It is normal to keep your clothes on for a balance, although it is advisable to wear loose fitting stretchy clothes.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments depends entirely on your individual needs and will vary according to many factors; for example, whether the problem is acute, chronic, or acute with an underlying chronic cause, your general health, diet, lifestyle, environment etc. (A minimum of three treatments is advised to achieve results, these are ideally spaced one week apart).
Can babies benefit from Amatsu?
Treatments or balances are suitable for people of all age groups. Even the tiniest baby can have experienced a trauma, often from the process of being born. Babies generally love Amatsu as it gives them back their natural freedom of movement. Amatsu treatments (balances) are gentle and non-invasive and are suitable for people of any age, from the very young to the very old and for those with limited mobility.
I have bad back pain, can Amatsu help me?
Unlike many other therapies, Amatsu is a whole-body treatment that works with the body’s soft tissue e.g. muscles, tendons, fascia, ligaments, organs and sacro-cranial system.
It helps to re-balance other key mechanical and energetic structures e.g. the spine, joints, bones, cranium and meridian circuits. This means that Amatsu can help with pain in many areas of the body including back pain whilst restoring balance to the whole body ensuring corrections are lasting and not short lived.
I’m pregnant, can Amatsu help me?
Amatsu is a gentle therapy, which is very effective throughout pregnancy. Speak to your practitioner to clarify at what stages it would be beneficial for you to visit. It can help with back pain, tension in the ligaments of the uterus, symphysis pubis and other conditions. It will also help to bring your pelvis back into balance. A pelvis that is in balance can move and turn to allow the baby to deliver as quickly and safely as possible.
I’ve had my injury for years, can Amatsu help me?
Yes, but depending on the injury and the length of time the injury has caused problems, your practitioner will work with you to bring wellness, which may be focused on functionality and movement, bringing you back to a place where your body works well without pain.
Do I have to have an injury or be sick before I can book an Amatsu balance?
No. A regular Amatsu balance is a good way to prevent health problems arising. Many people choose Amatsu just because it is relaxing, they enjoy it and they recognise it helps them to stay well.
